I am a printmaker and an artist currently located in Denver, CO. I first fell in love with art making and more specifically printmaking when I moved to New York City at the age of 18. I attended NYU for one year and took my first printmaking class during this time. I found great joy spending time in the studio and learning new printmaking processes. I fell in love with the physical process of creating print matrices and being able to produce multiple prints. This use of the multiple grew to be an integral part of my art practice, as I began to be more experimental with my work. Although I only stayed in New York for a year, my newfound passion for printmaking and art followed me back to Denver, where I interned at a gallery and at a print shop. Being actively involved in the art community in Denver helped me to decide to pursue art professionally. I enrolled at Metropolitan State University of Denver and began to pursue my Bachelors of Fine Arts with a concentration in Printmaking. During my time at MSUD I began to focus on the meditation that I encounter when in the process of creating work, and creating work based upon that meditation. I also began exploring other themes such as the connection of life and death and some Buddhist beliefs. I am now exploring individuality and personality, using people from my life as models as I try to represent both their physical being and their inner being.
